I bought two of the H&R HAR-15 braces and already modded one to fit a a KAK Mini Mil Spec tube. I just chopped it down like the CAR stock I was using on my N23A1 build. I have a new lower coming for the N23 and will either need to SBR it or run with a brace, and now after doing this chop I may just run with a brace. Attached File. Attached File.

Also of note is that in my notes its suggested that both were transitional in nature, with some of each having A1 lowers and others have A2 lowers. Not sure if that's true or not. NOT a1 lowers. A1 lowes have a full fence. the delta had SP-1 lowers at first. which was A1 profile but no magazine button fencing.

  10. Barrel nut torque procedure - AR15.COM

    www.ar15.com/forums/AR-15/Barrel-nut-torque-procedure/118-723495

But the ACTUAL torque applied to the barrel nut is NOT what the procedure calls for. AS DESIGNED, the AR15 system applies a clamping force on the barrel flange by torquing the barrel nut onto the upper. That clamping force comes from the steel nut stretching the aluminum of the upper to some yextent.

  11. What's the best tool to use to tighten and orient muzzle devices...

The best tool is the one between your ears. The best way to orient (commonly referred to as "timing") a muzzle device isn't as dependent upon tools, as it is on the process. I have an armourer's tool, but I have only ever used that on one single muzzle device. It's now solely for castle and barrel nuts. I prefer a simple open end wrench on muzzle devices. I have gotten to the point of not even ...
