Eshakti has been on my radar for years but I only placed my first order with them about 2 months ago. I ordered 3 dresses which should have arrived 2 weeks ago. I contacted customer service who told me that the fabric on 2 of the 3 dresses was damaged in the warehouse and they hadn't been fabricated yet.
eShakti owes me over $2000 for undelivered items. When I filed credit card claims, their bank refuted the claims, which is going to drag out my refunds for months. This company is a scam. It's a shame because their clothing and customization services used to be really good.
Welcome to r/eshakti, a forum about the website for custom dresses. I am shocked this isn't a subreddit already, so here we go. r/eshakti is open for business. Post your thoughts about the company and service, or about discounts, cute dresses or interesting customizations. 5. u/Romella1121.
Multiple customers who have gotten in touch with eShakti customer service have reported the company had a flood in their factory, damaging much of their fabric. Needing to have the actual fabric for the dresses recreated caused an understandable delay in orders. However, eShakti did not notify customers who were awaiting their orders.
Furthermore, eShakti's customer support responses are unusually slow, taking 7-10 days per inquiry. This is a tactic to delay you from disputing charges with your credit card provider. Given their slow response rate, I recommend initiating a dispute immediately after the original delivery window has passed.
I recently caved after the approx. 400 suggestions here and on various other forums to try eShakti. I've purchased one eShakti dress secondhand from the thrift store and it was beautiful and also exceptionally flattering in a conventional sense, although upon second thought, it had some of the same issues this dress does which I'll get to.
Basically, I am 5'6", 187lbs, with approx 42 bust/34 waist/43 hips. I find I fit perfectly into the eShakti size 16 - but only if the fabric is the jersey knit. The size 16 is listed as 41.5/34.5/44.5. However, if I order the cotton poplin fabric, I have to size the bust, chest, and shoulders up about .5 of an inch, because otherwise the dress ...
EShakti Order Update. Like many others I recently found out about the EShakti shipping delay issues. I wanted to share my experience here so others could make an informed decision about ordering with EShakti. We placed an order in mid December 2023 for 2 dresses, a winter coat, and a skirt. We were hoping to have the skirt for a trip in early ...
This problem isn't unique to eShakti and me: I must have shoulders like a linebacker or something. So I tried a totally custom made-to-measure dress. I'm sure the measurements were correct: I was taking a community college sewing class and got the teacher to help with the measurements I couldn't accurately do myself.
My MOH (my sister) wore a dress from eShakti - we’ve both been fans for years. She looked fantastic. I would highly recommend them. Just be sure to actually take your measurements and invest in the custom options - and order with time to have it fitted a little if necessary. She definitely went to a seamstress for some minor alterations.
