In 2010, the closing of the transaction between BNP Paribas Investment Partners and Fortis Investments was completed. In June 2017, BNP Paribas Investment Partners rebrands as BNP Paribas Asset Management.
It had a significant presence in Belgium via Fortis Insurance Belgium. The latter changed its name in 2009 to become AG Insurance. Today, with 75% of the shares, Ageas is the main shareholder in AG Insurance, with the remaining 25% held by BNP Paribas Fortis.
