The girl that answered had a slight accent and told me that they are a 3rd party company that provides gifts for companies customers but wouldn't give me any specific information. It all felt too fishy. I also tried calling Xfinity to verify but couldn't get past their automated voice system to speak to a human.

When i go on ESPN and a few other sites, I get an unwanted pop-up that consumes the whole page and requires me to click a bunch of links to get some sort of Xfinity customer service reward. It appears to be a scam but makes navigating on the web almost impossible.
1 - Cable to laptop. 2 - Cable to patch panel jack (extension to other room in home) Other side of my home has an Airport Extreme connected to the Ethernet port in the wall. I don't know if that's technically different than if I had a 50' Ethernet cable connecting the Airport to my Xfinity router. WiFi continues to work fine from the Airport.

Resetting the modem will give you a new IP Address. You can also go into the command prompt and type ipconfig/release and then ipconfig/renew for the same thing. The web address for Kroger that you provided works on my system. I no longer work for Comcast. I am an Official Xfinity Employee.
