It honestly was the end of an era. I caught Game Night, Father Figures and Tag all in second run theaters around 2017/2018. What people back in the day called "dollar theaters". So much fun. But they rarely make comedy films for the theaters.
Second off, it has a great cast. Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams are at the top of their game. They have great chemistry and comedic timing together. They know exactly how and when to react in just about every scene they’re in. Not to mention Jesse Plemons, Kyle Chandler, etc. Everyone in this movie delivers.
Jason Batemans other comedies. Horrible Bosses and horrible Bosses 2. They have the same feel as game night. Goofy characters getting into wild over the top action shenanigans with lots of humor in between. If you loved game night these two are great films.
But after seeing Game Night, I can only assume the top brass at DC and WB watched the movie before it came out, and liked what they saw, (It is a New Line / WB film after all). There are some very well directed long takes and action sequences. I hope these two manage to bring The Flash to the screen, they're clearly more than just competent.
The Suits Cast Reunion for Suit Up for Georgia Suits Game Night. It was nice to see most of the cast back together for a Zoom Hostile game. It happened Dec 27th 2020 but ti was just uploaded to YouTube. 😁. There are guests participating in the show also. It's really fun to watch because they cracked jokes on each other.
Family Game Night was a TV Game Show that started on The Hub Channel in 2010. The show is very well known, but currently there are no true high quality archives on YouTube or on demand services, the best that we have are DVR recordings uploaded to YouTube, which usually low quality, except for the first few episodes, plus not all the episodes are there.
I haven't played consoles in a long time. I remember having a Hasbro Family Game Night on XBOX that allowed for multiple players with a number of fun classic games made to xbox. Planning for a family trip with little ones and was trying to find this now as they all like the real board games. Anyone know if this is still a supported game?

It sets up a common trope and subverts it with reality (sneaking in through a hole in the roof made a shitload of noise and was really awkward) and then it follows through and delivers on the same trope shortly afterwards (dropping a weight in from the same hole and saving the day).
