Typical stupid UPS garbage. Just like on the web site home page when you click on "Login/Signup", it takes you to the signup page first with a really small hyperlink for "Login". I am guessing that at least 99% of the people going to the link on the home page are doing it to login and NOT signup.
When tracking a package it used to be that you could view the detailed scans (which included the approximate container scans). Now it says On the Way. Clicking on view details doesn't give any useful information... Or does it? This trick works whether you have just a tracking number or click on the tracking logged in through UPS My Choice.
The 2 for UPS show no pickup, no transit, nothing, just like I created a label and UPS never picked up ... and I dropped them off personally ... so wtf. I ordered something off the JBL website a couple days ago and today it says shipped and gave me a tracking number. I went on UPS site and it says the tracking number isn't in their system.
I deal with UPS shipping at my job and for people who's tracking number merely says "On the Way" something I learned is to download the UPS mobile app (you don't need to make an account) and track it on there; it usually gives more specific information. EDIT: Forgot to specify I'm USA based so I'm not sure how it is for everywhere else. YMMV. 5.
A workaround that I have found is that I can put the tracking number into the search on Bing and they will get the detailed tracking info. Presumably they are using some kind of API to get the same data that the UPS app displays. If they are going to pull the detailed tracking info then they need to pull it from all places instead of just ...
A: If your package has a departure scan it will get an arrival scan. Departure Scans are logical scans based on the most recent physical scan. When a trailer departs or arrives at a UPS facility the packages in that trailer get a scan based on that. If you have a departure scan you will eventually see an arrival scan.
