Here is what you need to do: Have the roofer do a full storm damage inspection, including the roof and all elevations, documenting all damage they see with photos. They should draw a test square on each elevation of the roof, showing a minimum of 6 hail hits per 10x10 test square (preferably 8+).

Made a claim for significant hail damage from the August 11 storm, and State Farm denied the claim. Made an appeal and they refuse to send someone out to look again. We literally have dozens of neighbors that have already received new roof, even siding and windows. The hail damage was real in our neighborhood but State Farm just keeps saying ...

State Farm doesn’t sell you insurance assuming you have a claim, that’s a different premium. And the concept that you’ve been with an insurer forever somehow entitles you to a policy for $1 is beyond ridiculous. I always laugh at the “i’ve been a client for 30 hears and i’m subsidizing everybody else”. Yes, that was last years ...

  8. State Farm Denying Roofs - is this a nationwide problem?

    www.reddit.com/r/Roofing/comments/r5thzj/state_farm_denying_roofs_is_this_a...

We usually do about 60-70 State Farm roofs per year. During 2021, we did not do a single State Farm roof where the adjuster inspected the roof and authorized the replacement of the roof. The only State Farm roofs we did was due to fighting with State Farm about uniform appearance (matching), discontinued product, appraisal, etc.

  9. Beware of State Farm Claims Associate / Task Assistant jobs

They grade you on your tasks and calls so you’re either in the green, yellow, or red. Training is rapid and then they throw you out to the wolves. The biggest reason why she left was due to the pay. $21 an hour for way too much work. Beware of any State Farm claims associate or task assistant jobs. Yikes.

  10. Thoughts on State Farm claims specialist? - Reddit

It’s definitely unsustainable. I was hired as a Specialist 7 months ago. I also had prior claims experience from another insurance company and it’s crazy how much more work State Farm expects their specialists to do. Everyone on my team has inventories close to 400 because there’s so many claims coming in and with so much work to handle ...

SF isn't going out of business in your lifetime, or the next. If you're that dissatisfied with how State Farm is handling your third party claim, you could always back off, run the claim through your insurance, and wait on subrogation to potentially get your deductible back. Long story short, we filed a claim on the insured's policy for their ...
