   New “sebile” controller target date is May/June of this year, then console refresh in fall. I wouldn’t expect Elite 3 till sometime calendar year 2025 or later. Slide deck also calls out that new Elite line isn’t yet “funded” so they could potentially be banking on console sales from the refresh to help pay for that new line.

   To paraphrase what you said, in 2 years you've exchanged your controller 12 times; each time you've repurchased the warranty for $30. $30 x 12 controllers = $360 in warranty repurchases. $170 every 2 years for the privilege aka total tech. Cost of the original controller = $200. $360 + $170 + $200 = $730.

   I would say elite 3 wouldn’t come out until fall of this year. Probably will show the controller during E3. There was rumours and parts pictures for the elite 2 nearly a year before it came out, Nothing so far on a 3 and TBH after breaking 2 elite 1's i wont be buying one again.

   Very rare for the Elite historically to be marked off for more than like $10-$20. It's a decent sign that we might get the Series 3 in the near future but who knows when that might happen especially with all the shortages right now. EDIT: Looks like it went back up to $150 at Best Buy. Still a decent discount.
