  2. Harbor Freight Hatchet can be good? | Bushcraft USA Forums

    bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/harbor-freight-hatchet-can-be-good.296036

    1. Retail hatchet prices run from ~$10 to at least $350 (Hoffman 3# Camp Axe); 2. A “Big Mac Meal” or “Whopper Meal” (if you can call those things “meals”) costs $6 or more; 3. Replacement handles for premium hatchets go for ~$40 or more. In view of these prices, I have trouble arguing with a ~$10 hatchet.

  3. Harbore Freight Axes......Any good? | Bushcraft USA Forums

    bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/harbore-freight-axes-any-good.266850

Dec 30, 2019. #1. I just saw a Harbor Freight ad and they had an axe for 29.00. Wood handle 4.5 lb head and 30.5 inch handle. I would not use it very much as I mainly use my Estwing hatchets. I was wondering if anyone had any good or bad experience with the Harbor Freight Axes. Thanks in advance for any information.

My dad purchased a Harbor Freight Saw Blade Sharpener a couple months ago, and had a hard time setting it up. He stated that his ol brain just doesn't work the best anymore for this sort of stuff, not too mention typically HF directions can be a PIT

  5. Harbor Freight canvas tarp shelter options.... Which to chose?

    bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/harbor-freight-canvas-tarp-shelter-options...

Harbor Freight also sells 6x8 and 8x10 canvas tarps in green. All are in 10oz canvas. I'm leaning towards the 8x10 tarp, as that's a size I'm more used to and would be less work than having to modify and waterproof a drop cloth.

NRA's magazine, American Rifleman usually carries Harbor Freight ads and coupons. Also you can go to a Harbor Freight store and sign up for their sales ad and they will mail them to you. I get them all the time. Right now, they have their magnesium fire starters on sale for $2.97 and their small 9 LED flashlights (2 pack) for $2.99.

  7. Harbor Freight "Gordon Emergency Survival Kit"..... - Bushcraft...

    bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/harbor-freight-gordon-emergency-survival-kit.368708

X39, Thanks for the in depth review of the Harbor Freight survival Kit, I'm not much of a fan of pocket survival kits especially the smaller candy box type, like many people on this forum I had my go at putting a few together out of fairly decent quality items I and most of us collect over the years, but in testing them in real time on outings ...

  8. Harbor Freight $12 Wool Blankets? - Bushcraft USA Forums

    bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/harbor-freight-12-wool-blankets.228587

Illinois. Jul 30, 2018. #8. Fyi if you keep an eye out online you can find good 100% wool military surplus blankets come up from time to time for 2-2.5 times the cost of that $12 Harbor Freight blanket. Makes more sense to buy one good blanket relatively cheap than buy several "disposable" blankets over time.

The cheapest straw type water filter is only $7 for about 1,000 gallons. A good filter is only $20. They are the easiest way to get drinkable water and they are never in a kit. A gallon ziplock bag or 2 to carry water would be helpful too. Even with chemical tabs you need a container and a minimum of 30 minutes.

Northwest, GA. Oct 7, 2021. #14. S. JoeBobTheMan said: I was looking around at Hazard Fraught yesterday, and I discovered that they carry a “new” knife... a Gordon 6” Bowie Knife, for around 25$ (US). From what I could see through the packing, it looks to be a decent knife for the money, with an included leather sheath.
