Canfield, in 1798, became Township No. 1 in range No. 3 by the purchase from the Connecticut Land Company. This 16,324 acre tract was located on the southeastern border of the Connecticut Western Reserve Territory. It was purchased by six gentlemen; most of the land was owned by Judson Canfield.
Canfield Utility Billing Department. The utility department is responsible for meter reading, billing, cash collections and customer service for water, sewer and storm water. The City serves customers both inside the City limits of Canfield as well as outside the City limits.
Trunk or Treat Festival. The annual Canfield Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges will be hosting a free trunk or treat festival on the Canfield Green. Event will include candy, food, games, bounce houses, and pumpkin decorating. 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
