Tombquest. Tombquest is a series of books that is published by Scholastic Inc and was written by Michael Northrop. [1] It follows two main characters, Alex Sennefer and his best friend Ren Duran, as they battle Ancient Egyptian forces. When Alex is on the verge of death, his mother uses the Book of the Dead to resurrect him.
The Book of the Dead was most commonly written in hieroglyphic or hieratic script on a papyrus scroll, and often illustrated with vignettes depicting the deceased and their journey into the afterlife. The finest extant example of the Egyptian in antiquity is the Papyrus of Ani. Ani was an Egyptian scribe.
