I had intermittent issues with my PC where I would randomly lose connection or experience 50 – 100% packet loss when pinging the router. This only occurred after an automatic modem firmware update, it had worked for years previously without issue. All other devices both ethernet/wifi worked fine except the PC.

  3. Configure the connection To start your own server, there are some things you first need to do to get your server ready. 1. Make sure you have port 27015 open on your router. Go into your router's configuration, and enable port forwarding for port 27015 to go to your PC in your LAN. 2.

  7. Looking to see if the Fetch TV Mighty PVR can be used without an active Internet connectivity. I'm looking at one of the Optus Bundles which supplies a Fetch TV Mighty and I may use it in a holiday house (instead of normal home) where we don't always have Internet (sometimes we use a mobile broadband connection).

  8. The links seem inactive, I did try a while ago to connect to the server address without success.. A lot of the people who set up UO servers seem to neglect the time and dedication it takes to maintain them, or they seem to expect an instant flood of people to play a 13year old game.

  9. • Make sure that the internet access service of your SIM card is available. • Check your phone's Internet connection settings. That seems to indicate some kind of Internet connection, but there's no mention of "pre-installed facebook" like most phones seem to say if they have apps.

  10. I am having a Fronius 5.01 inverter and smart meter installed but have no internet here apart from hot-spot via mobile phone. Does anyone know how to setup the inverter, meter and link to solarweb without Wi-Fi.? Do I need to set up a bridge between the phone and a router or can I just use the phone? Thanks.

  11. Most MMOs have been designed so moderate latency isn't a big issue. I'll admit I haven't played any newer ones for a while, but generally the populations are good at launch but very few have staying power, so I can understand companies not wanting to overextend early by putting servers everywhere only to have to condense them down to keep server pops up, just to solve a problem that doesn't exist.
