  2. I updated my Pokémon Transfer guide and it's massive

    www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/f1c5ub/i_updated...

Please note - generation 1 and 2 titles on the Gameboy and Gameboy Color systems will not transfer up unless you’ve purchased and played them on the Nintendo 3DS virtual console. There's also the part where, if they haven't been maintaining the batteries in their original gen 1/2 games, then the saves are likely long gone, unfortunately.

Thus, in Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue, the item, when picked up, yields 1 Antidote, but in Pokemon Yellow yields 1 Potion. This map was a very sloppy first attempt at documenting every item in a Pokemon game. There are many things I would change on a second attempt, and indeed, already did.

  4. Which gen 1 game should i play? : r/pokemon - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/s4yl12/which_gen_1_game...

I suggest Fire Red or Leaf Green (the remakes). Generation 3 (the generation these gen 1 remakes are part of) is the first generation you can transfer your pokemon from to later generations, which is really cool (pokemon from red/blue/green/yellow can't be transfered to newer games). Though if you play red/blue/yellow on the 3ds virtual console ...

(yes just drag and drop the pokemon from one window to another) Step 3: Using PKSM to get access to the pokémon In PKHex, right click on your pokémon icon on the top left corner of the screen (of the new window in my case its Moon) and click on "QR!".

  6. Why is Gen 1 Wrap universally considered an overpowered move?

    www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/14ylai7/why_is_gen_1...

The only relatively speedy Wrap user in Gen 1 is Tentacruel, and it's weak to the generally fast Electric and Psychic types of that era. If you're using Arbok or Victreebel, you'd need to waste a move paralyzing your opponent (which misses a quarter of the time) before trapping your foe. If you want to expedite the chip damage with Toxic, then ...

  7. Kingler has this ridic dynamic/perspectiveish look. I feel like there were three artists doing the sprites, one doing rad action sprites like scyther, one doing solid workmanlike static sprites like nidoqueen, and one doing pure derp magic. Rapidash is pure derp magic. 1st gen Blastoise looked better with less color.

  8. Why do people love Gen 1 so much? : r/pokemon - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/.../10ez9zv/why_do_people_love_gen_1_so_much

Gen 1 was the best because of the game, the manga, and the anime combined. 3 very different interpretations of the Pokemon world. Anime got worse. Manga got harder to find (can't find a good scan of the full series anywhere myself😭 if you do message me please)

  9. Pokemon that are disproportionately good in gen 1 games.

    www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/lzatbs/pokemon_that_are...

KFblade. ADMIN. Pokemon that are disproportionately good in gen 1 games. Discussion. What are some Pokemon that are only really good with gen 1's mechanics. Some examples are Tauros and Persian who benefit extremely from the way speed and crits worked in this gen, and Starmie and Slowbro, who's special stat and psychic typing are extremely ...

  10. Complete Pokedex Spreadsheet, for your Viewing/Editing Pleasure

    www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/zi0x86/complete_pokedex...

The main tab is the complete Pokedex, with national dex numbers, regional dex numbers, base stats, typings, abilities, height/weight, ev's, etc. The other tab is good for comparing a couple of Pokemon (or building teams). I also have hidden tabs that I had begun to put together for Nuzlocke purposes, so feel free to ignore them.

    www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/h7eczr/i_just_found_out...

Of course it was limited, it didn't have 8 generations to pull from, just one. And it had the absolute best Pokémon of any gen. #001 in the dex, #1 in our hearts, Bulbasaur. If you didn't grow up as the generation of kids that first played gen 1, then you probably don't like it, but those of us who did, it is overwhelmingly the fan favorite.
