My first Truman boot (Kudu) was in the 79 last, maybe go half a size up if you wear thicker socks. The 4 boots I have now are all in the C55 last and they work better for the shape of my feet. the waxed flesh in any color (Java/black/chestnut) would be a good start, the double shot (black/brown/oxblood) or ramblers (black burgundy was really ...
As I said, the boots look good for the most part, maybe a bit more "workboot" than Viberg's service boot with an unstructured toe, but again, not necessarily a bad thing. There's definitely room for new entrants in the market, with Viberg's production being pretty limited and prices pretty high.

The Trumans have a lower arch, but they are still extremely comfortable. The quality is definitely comparable to White's, the stitching, lasting, sanding, etc. all look and feel great. If you are looking for something to wear as everyday or casual boots then I would highly recommend these.
Anyone with Truman experience can help me decide my size? I want to build a pair of unstructured cap toe Truman boots with horse hide. I knew Truman boots run in true size. But I still cannot make up my mind. Yesterday, I went to a red wing store to measure my brannock size, the pictures show my brannocks size with thick socks.
The Truman 79 last is pretty narrow in the toebox and going half down from brannock for me leaves probably a smaller amount of space in front of the toes than I prefer. With you being over a 10 on the brannock, going with a 9.5 in the truman 79 might not work out well.
Special MTO for me from Truman which I'm pretty jazzed about. I hand selected some of the thickest Horween Color #4 Shell Cordovan I have on-hand for Vince to make these boots for me. Slight modification on the overall height as well (reduced about 1 inch). I opted for fully unstructured and unlined. Just straight, raw shell cordovan goodness.
Hi, first time poster here and looking to get a pair of Truman boots. I wear : Alden TB - US13E Grant Stone Leo - US13E Viberg 2030/1035 - Viberg 13 Thinking of going US13EE on the 79 last with structured toe. Better to go wider and wear thick socks than risk a tighter or non-fit. Plus international shipping does not help.with exchanges.
