Leiden University Libraries is a library founded in 1575 in Leiden, Netherlands. It is regarded as a significant place in the development of European culture: it is a part of a small number of cultural centres that gave direction to the development and spread of knowledge during the Enlightenment.
In 1967, the College of Pharmacy became a unit of the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center. In 2000 a fourth College, the College of Allied Health Sciences joined the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. On June 6, 2007, the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Pharmacy changed its name to the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy.

The original library of the University of Houston was established in 1927 when the school was known as Houston Junior College. [1] With 1,988 volumes, the library was housed as a section of the San Jacinto High School library, where the college shared building space. Ruth Wikoff was the school's first professional librarian.
The new D. H. Hill Library opened with a limited schedule on October 15, 1925, opened with full service hours on January 1, 1926, and was dedicated on June 7, 1926. Built at a final cost of $266,500, including $25,000 for equipment, it was designed by New York architect Hobart Upjohn in a post-colonial style reminiscent of Monticello.

The library was established on 8 November 1839 and opened on 23 November 1841, carrying on the tradition of the activity and fame of the old library of Academia Vasiliană, founded in 1640. Functioning closely with Academia Mihăileană, founded in 1835, it had the double character of a school library and a public library.
