  2. Should I play in English or Japanese? : r/ghostoftsushima -...

For what it's worth this is not a Japanese game. Ghost of Tsushima was developed/written in America, and the English track is the original in this case. Jin's voice actor, Daisuke Tsuji, is a Japanese American as well. As an aside, The Witcher doesn't take place in medieval Scandinavia.

Almost went with English because it was hard to pay attention to all the Mongols trying to kill me while reading subtitles. But eventually my brain adjusted to the old fashioned Japanese and I was less reliant on subtitles. So I went with the Japanese. 1.

The Japanese course on Duolingo is mainly a word learning course. Each unit will introduce you to a couple new words (between 15 and 30), then it will incorporate some of those words into sentences, and finally those sentences will try to teach a couple grammar points as well. Assuming, you get each unit to max level, most words are gonna stick.

  6. What voice language do you preffer, English or japanese?

I prefer English. Mainly because I can understand English better. I study Japanese, but I'm not at the level yet where I can pick up on nuances and word choices. Plus, the English voices are starting to grow on me. I have some issues with how Volume sounds like in the Lobby.

English-Japanese Language Exchange This is probably the largest JP/EN language exchange community out there, and it's the one that often gets linked in this subreddit even in the sidebar. Full disclosure, it's my main community and I'm a member of the moderation team so my review of it can have some bias.

  9. Do you play with English or Japanese audio? : r/ghostoftsushima -...

english, as i don't speak japanese. Japanese audio, english subtitles. I've been a fan of anime for years and it just felt right to play this game in japanese for me. My only gripe was the subtitles mistranslating 'Sakai-sama', as Jin Sakai, it'd be more akin to Lord Sakai, throughout my entire playthrough, lol.

  10. Tales of arise- english or japanese??? : r/JRPG - Reddit

English VA for Tales of Arise is really good imo. Both. Tales rewards multiple play through. Hmm…I usually like Japanese VA overall for games like this (Persona series I generally listen to the Japanese VAs because if any series that is anime, it would be that one), but I like the English dub so far.
