Although Windows Essentials is not supported (won't get any updates) anymore, you still can download the offline installer. During the installation you can choose which programs you want to install. Hope this helps. *much later EDIT. May 4, 2018: I won't participate anymore in MC. Enough is enough.
Windows Live Essentials have been discontinued since quite some years ago. It is never tested on recent Windows builds (including Windows 11) so there's no guarantee of anything at this point even if you manage to get it installed. I will suggest that you consider alternatives, such as Windows Mail app, Windows Photos app, etc.
