How to apply. Northern Lights College offers intakes for each semester, September, January, and May. We recommend applicants submit a complete application six months prior to their intended start date. Please note that start dates vary by program.

Careers at NLC. Northern Lights College (NLC) is located across five campuses and two access centres throughout northeast British Columbia, an area vibrant in natural resources, history and culture.
Dates & Deadlines. Many of our programs open for admission as early as 11 months before the start of classes. Admission closes depending on program requirements and demand. Some programs will remain open until the end of the first week of classes for late joiners.
Power Engineering (4th Class) Certificate. The 7 month Power Engineering Program takes learners through 4th Class Power Engineering and 210 hours of firing time on the NLC Boiler.
