The majority of it dates back into the '50's. The Saeco pot was his newest piece of casting equipment. I'm going to try and find out the age of it by the serial number. All of his casting equipment still sits in their original boxes. I won't be using any of that stuff, but I would like to hear what you guys think about the melting pot pictured.

The valve comes apart easy. I am enjoying it a lot. One day, I'll probably get a 20 lb pot, but for now, I am set real fine with this furnace. Saeco made that Lyman 61 to there specs. As Iron Mike says it holds 11# pertty easy. Mine gets up to about 925° if I set it to high. Shoot straight, keepem in the ten ring.

There a bit better pot in my opinion although they cost more and should be. The main reason i went with them is rcbs stands behind there stuff and doesnt charge a guy a 100 bucks when they go bad.
