Many zone boundaries were changed as a result of the more recent data, as well as new mapping methods and additional information gathered. Many areas were a half-zone warmer than the previous 1990 map. [8] The 2012 map was created digitally for the internet, and includes a ZIP Code zone finder and an interactive map. [9] [10]
Description: This map of the United States divides the country into ZIP code zones. All states with a common colour use ZIP codes starting with the same digit. Each string of digits, whether two or three digits in length, refers to an allocation which reflects all existing ZIP codes starting with those two or three digits.
This includes, Irvine, which originally had only ZIP Code, 92650. With the rapid growth of the city, however, it needed new codes, and it was eventually moved to the 927 range with Santa Ana. On July 1, 1996, the northern portion of Orange County redistributed many of its ZIP Codes to the 927 and 928 prefixes.
The postcode area is the largest geographical unit used and forms the initial characters of the alphanumeric UK postcode. [ 1] There are currently 121 geographic postcode areas in use in the UK and a further three often combined with these covering the Crown Dependencies of Guernsey, Jersey and Isle of Man.
According to Trinidad and Tobago Newsday, an envelope using the postcode may be properly addressed thus: [ 1] In the example above, the digits "15" refer to the delivery office in Diego Martin; "01" to a certain delivery route served by that office; and "10" to a certain building or zone along that delivery route. The old 2012 map, seen here, isn't as detailed or regional as the new plant hardiness map, in large part to the 2023 map including data from many more weather stations.
