A block quotation (also known as a long quotation or extract) is a quotation in a written document that is set off from the main text as a paragraph, or block of text, and typically distinguished visually using indentation and a different typeface or smaller size font. This is in contrast to setting it off with quotation marks in a run-in quote.
Text formatting in citations should follow, consistently within an article, an established citation style or system. Options include either of Wikipedia's own template-based Citation Style 1 and Citation Style 2, and any other well-recognized citation system. Parameters in the citation templates should be accurate.
The Manual of Style guidelines for block quotations recommend formatting block quotations using the {{ Blockquote }} template or the HTML < blockquote > element, for which that template provides a wrapper. Quotes work best when used with short sentences, and at the start or end of a section, as a hint of or to help emphasize the section's content.

To do this, enclose the URL and the title in square brackets—the URL first, then a space, then the title. For example:
