The fraudsters are active again on OLX. (Allah ese logon ko ibrat naak azab de, aameen) This is how they operate. Post an ad near you. Contact ONLY on whatsapp. Send you pictures of product. They will avoid video call. They will send you picture/video of product being shipped on local cargo bus. They will avoid sharing proper receipt.
Generally safe. Of course you can get an idiot who will sell you a brick instead of new iPhone, but the risk is the same as with all online shopping sites. The sender gets money when you receive a package, so no worries about paying and getting nothing sent. Always buy with olx shipment, it is a safe option.
OLX died way before rebranding to dubbizle. It died back in 2019 ish We had a business running off of OLX. It was a great tool to help us find customers.
