The fastest one is to sell it to a dealer or some of the companies that buy used cars as Carvana, CarMax, Vroom etc. The money that you will receive will be less than the retail value but if your car is in good shape the cut will not be that big. The second way is to do it by yourself selling the car on the street.
I sold my old car a few months ago (2024), an '02 Toyota Solara with 202k miles on it. We did all the maintenance on it when it needed the usual stuff like oil change, alignment, etc. Condition was "fair" overall, it had original dealer paint faded heavily in places (never garaged), a couple of small dents, check engine light on, and driver window didn't always work (wasn't working when sold).
I probably went through the Carvana appraisal process about 10 times and finally decided to pull the trigger. I ended up selling my car for the 3rd highest offer I received from them (I'm still very happy with the selling price). Highest offer I got was $19.7k and I sold for $18.8k (these offers came a week apart). KBB private seller was $16.5k.

Carvana and Driveway say it's worth $300-350. Carmax offers $2300. No idea what all that means. Don’t forget taxes, if you are buying another car, you don’t have to pay taxes on the trade amount. for instance you buy at Carmax 25k car, they give you $25k for your car, you pay zero sales tax.
Carmax: (bring to our store) Local dealers: in the carvana range - within $1-2K (local dealers obviously had sales-tax-trade-in-credit advantage - that was worth around $2k). Note that these aren't bad offers - the car was a year old, and I basically got it for $52K, so $45 or so isn't bad. Vroom: $59,750. Not a typo.

I had my car on Auto Trader, CarGurus and FB marketplace for $23.5. I got nothing but lowball offers from dealers who offered between $17K and $20K and private buyers who asked a million questions and never made an offer. I finally went to Carvana. They offered $24K. They came and looked at the car for about 5 minutes and handed me a check.
