It's more if you don't use the card and are therefore an unnecessary cost to the business, they close your account. If you demonstrate poor financial management, and you're at risk of getting into a worse position, they'll close it. I've been facing an issue for quite a while where my Barclaycard credit card isn't showing up in the app. This is more of an issue now as I'd like to switch over to a different card, but based on chats with their support team, this is only possible via the app - which I'm unable to do because of this issue.

The Barclaycard website has different login credentials (nine digit username with six digit passcode) than the Barclays Bank website (twelve digit username with five digit passcode) which I would assume is down to historical reasons, it's essentially the same site it's always been.
