Anyone else use Credit Sesame? Late last year I was planning on buying a car in the first of the year and I noticed a small local CU advertising very good rates for used cars for the "Good" credit range, which they rated as 680-720, which is where I'm at. I called them to get some info & asked which CRA they pull and they said Experian.
Credit Sesame score. Haha, my Credit Sesame score is 774! My credit union pulled my report 10 days ago and said my score was 613, I guess that is why a FAKO is a FAKO. (I did notice that my two defaulted student loans were removed so I suspect my score did go up some but not that many points) June '12: EQ 553 TU 0 EX 545.
It appears someone has breached my CreditSesame account and has full access to my credit report. There is no number for CreditSesame and all I could do is email security@creditsesame.com. Please note I also received a call from a collection agency for T-Mobile as someone opened an account in my name...
Re: Credit Sesame vs Credit Karma vs Equifax and Experian If you purchased a report/score directly from Equifax, you most likely received their proprietary score. It is certainly possible that it hasn’t updated and you should be able to tell by reading through the reports from all of bureaus.
Re: Will opening a credit sesame lower my credit score? MyFico is the only true credit score and the Gold Standard. +1 on what the others mentioned I use CS, CK and Quizzle.
I was able to log on to wal mart about an hr ago, but it was painfully slow. It reminded me of the old dial up days. Hopefully they'll get their systems up and running better by this evening. Re: credit sesame how accurate. Mine was not accurate at all. Credit Seasame has me at 749 and yesterday my credit union pulled me and has me at 682. I wouldn't trust the score. June '12: EQ 553 TU 0 EX 545. April '13 Lender Pull EQ 731, EX 692, TU 722 - all FICO. Closed on home May 22, 2013 at 2:00pm!!!
Is it just me or is Credit Sesame scoring system pretty close to FICO?. CK is usually for me between 30 - 40 point difference, I do like CK for daily credit monitoring though. Are there any other free services out there, perhaps better or similiar?
Re: Credit Karma vs Credit Sesame. CK has been lower than my FICO score by roughly 20-25 pts. CS usually about 15-20 PST lower.
