Reputation: 2513. Rooms to Go is notable for the ease of the transaction but they are not generally considered to have great quality. I'd say the difference between the quality of these two places is probably a wash. I love Ikea style so I'm probably biased because of that.
Looking at the Nashville and Richmond locations (industrial areas along Interstates that already connect existing IKEA warehouses), I'd expect that the Triangle may get one in north Durham, along I-85. Maybe they're still looking for full-sized warehouse location, but there aren't many sites entitled for something of that size.
The IKEA one comes in a max length of 73". I betcha you will have one or 2 lengths in your kitchen longer then that. Do you really really want all those seams? Seams where water and food will seep into? The IKEA is a soft maple while the other one is a hard rock maple. Either one can be sanded if there were a scratch.
