Greetings, I recently upgraded to Windows 10 on my Surface Pro 3. I could not get my Cisco VPN to work afterward and ended up having to revert to Windows 8.1, uninstall the Cisco VPN client, upgrade to Windows 10 and then install the VPN client. All seemed good to go but when I allow the...

  4. VPN Problem Surface Pro 2 - Microsoft Surface Forums

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/vpn-problem-surface-pro-2.9454

Would appreciate any links you know of regarding connecting Surface Pro 2 though a Cisco VPN. I've seen Surface Pro 1 running on our VPN but not the Pro 2 and I know IT has just starting purchasing the Pro 2. I'm now also wondering if there were Cisco VPN issues that were unique to any Surface Pro 2. We are running Windows 8.1.

  5. Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/windows-10-preview-on-surface-pro-3.11828/page-43

On weekends I find more time to put Windows 10 Technical Preview and the Surface Pro 3 to the test. I am amazed at the improvements Build 9879 brings over previous builds, and also Windows 8.1 . Here's the workflow from today: - Used both Logmein and Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection to login to my massive work PC.

I got too tempted to test Windows 10 on my SP3 so I did install it. But some of the VPN software that I need wasnt supported so it failed. Twice. In the saving process I had to disable Bitlocker when trying to fix the OS, but it was FUBAR. (Long story short, PC stopped booting when VPN software was installed..nasty) So - I reinstalled from the ...

  7. No WiFi in Win10 Pro (1903) Windows Sandbox

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/no-wifi-in-win10-pro-1903-windows-sandbox.24790

I (seemingly) successfully updated my Surface Pro 6 to v.1903 two days ago, and after some initial fumbles, now have Windows Sandbox enabled and it seems to open just fine. However, there is no WiFi access within Sandbox. Accessing Settings for Network & Internet, the list on the left is...

  8. Slow Wi-Fi Download Speeds, but Upload Speeds OK?

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/slow-wi-fi-download-speeds-but-upload-speeds-ok...

I will also note that I tried these exact same speed tests with my existing Dell laptop (Latitude E7440 running Windows 7 Pro) and download speeds averaged ~ 140 Mbps. Strangely enough, the Surface Pro 6 did fine on the upload portion of the test - 30-40 Mbps, which is consistent with what I see on other devices.

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/bootloop-with-red-stripe-and-padlock.23196

I had this issue with a Surface Pro 3 in an Enterprise environment and all I did was connect the Surface Pro 3 to a Surface Dock and PXE boot to the Enterprise Windows 10 image and it successfully booted to Windows 10 after the image completed. Hope this somehow helps.

  10. VPN client and battery life | Microsoft Surface Forums

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/vpn-client-and-battery-life.11979

I suspect that it's primarily your VPN client. The VPN client I run on my work SP3 typically shows 30-40% CPU utilization, which will make it warm and eat into the battery. But you should be able to see it in task manager.
