e. Lion Air Flight 610 ( JT610 / LNI610) [ b] was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, to Depati Amir Airport, Pangkal Pinang, in Indonesia. On 29 October 2018, the Boeing 737 MAX operating the route crashed into the Java Sea 13 minutes after takeoff with 181 passengers and 8 crew on board.
Its inaugural flight was on December 4, 2013 on the Bangkok- Chiang Mai route, with full services one day later. Thai Lion Air concluded the agreement with fellow Lion Air subsidiary Malindo Air on December 10, 2013, allowing both carriers to serve the flight between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Bangkok.
