Mar 10, 2021. #14. If he was a true professional, I'm sure Richard Dawson would have adapted with the times, and certainly tone down with the kissing. When he did his comeback to the Feud in 1994, out of respect to his younger daughter (and his wife at the time--a former Feud contestant), he stopped kissing female contestants on that show.
With regards to the comments about Richard Dawson, personally I never thought he was a lovable individual on TV to begin with. He seems to ooze this air of arrogance when hosting those game shows. Now if people are referring to Dawson’s role on “Hogan’s Heroes” I look at that of him playing a character and not himself. Big difference there.

WCBS-TV 2 New York (CBS; owned and operated) (translator: W53AA 53) 7:30p Masquerade Party (syndicated revival attempt of 1950's game show; host: Richard Dawson) [/quote] Wow. The show was a one-season show in 1974-75. Seems odd that WCBS would air this four years later.

WFVT (now WWWB) aired Richard Dawson's second stint with Family Feud. Louie Anderson's Family Feud aired on WAXN. What a joke of a host. Richard Karn's Family Feud started on WAXN, but now can be seen on WJZY. Pyramid aired on WBTV at 10 then jumped to WAXN. Hollywood Squares was on WCCB sometime during the day.
