The LH engine was a series of V6 engines developed by Chrysler Corporation for its LH platform cars. It is a 60- degree V6 designed for front-wheel drive applications, later adapted to rear-wheel drive ones. The 2.7 liter LH engine is based on the SOHC 3.5 L engine, though bore spacing, cylinder bore, stroke, and assembly site are different.
The engines share the same bore/stroke ratio, with the V6 version displacing 2.7 L (2,720 cc) and the V8 version displacing 3.6 L (3,630 cc). The V6 and the V8 were launched in 2004 and 2006 respectively. The V6 engine meets the Euro IV emissions standards. A DT20 3.0 L (2,993 cc) was added in 2009 and is based on the DT17 2.7
A 3.0L V6 twin-turbocharged gasoline direct-injection engine, derived from the 2.7 L EcoBoost, was released in 2016 that produces between 350 and 400 horsepower. The 3.0 L is gradually replacing the 3.7 L Ti-VCT Cyclone V6 engine in various vehicles, including the MKZ , Continental , Aviator , Ford Explorer and the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor.
The Duratorq DLD-418 is a 1.8 L (1,753 cc) intercooled common rail diesel engine.
