That’s like saying light a dollar on fire to get a quarter is a good trade lol. the biggest misconception people have about mental health is that multibillion dollar corporations give two shits about yours. It’s becoming tradition at this point. Bell Let’s Talk comes around and suddenly massive layoffs at Bell.

And Bell cancelled them too. Fuck that fucking piece of shit company. CTV also closed all their foreign bureaus and 6 radio stations along with the layoffs under the pretence of “we can’t compete”. Well that blows! I watched CTV morning while I had coffee and sauntered around the house before I started work.

VHF channels (7 - 13), which CTV and Global are, generally need a lot wider of dipoles than the small leaf/paper type antennas have, because of the wavelength of the frequencies. I have a cheap leaf type antenna also (which I don't use anymore) but I don't expect to be getting VHF channels off of it, regardless of what it says.

Both of these anchors were booted from CTV morning news recently. I’m disgusted that they weren’t granted a proper farewell to their viewership. Anyone know the real scoop on why they were canned? Btw, I can’t bring myself to like the new traffic girl, Carla. Bad energy. I miss Jordan.

Access is CTV 2 now. It use to be the provincial education station, they played science programs, videos for distance learning etc. It was privatized and became less and less oriented to that. CTV now uses it to play shows that don't fit into their schedule on the main network or reruns. I don't know if it's still available over the air.

It’s click baity and creates a sense of uncertainty based on the fear of being infected with COVID. So, you click on the article and read it - CTV has just collected $0.05 at the expense of your potential mental health. I wouldn’t be so jaded if the news was more concerned with getting news out to people.

Carmen Leibel bids farewell to CTV News Edmonton after 16 years. Crap looks like I’m not watching CTV anymore. Who. Well that was heartwarming. It's nice to read a story about someone who was able to achieve their dream. It's a nice balance to the common doom and gloom posts that are ever present on this sub. CTV who? Carmen, is class ...

And then I usually read CBC Edmonton. Journal, CBC, CTV, Global. In order: Global, 630 CHED, Google News feed, CBC, Twitter, r/edmonton. This sub is really not great for news though. There's very little actual news, it's usually way behind everywhere else and the aggressive liberal bias gets to be a bit much.

Back in Ontario I built one it was pretty simple to do cost me less than $15 and was adequate for a test. After moving here I haven't even had time to bother with TV. Just quick question, new resident of Edmonton. Was wondering if anyone knew the locations of the broadcast towers for the CTV/CBC/Global digital OTA….
