The Gaza Strip ( / ˈɡɑːzə / ⓘ; [ 11] Arabic: قِطَاعُ غَزَّةَ Qiṭāʿ Ġazzah [qɪˈtˤɑːʕ ˈɣaz.za] ), also known simply as Gaza, is a small, densely populated territory located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
