I tried to send epubs that I alresdy had sent in the past and thwy work well. The usual process is to convert the epub to UTF8 with the Modify EPUB plugin and then use the Calibre option to send the file to Kindle via email (I love the multidevice sync) Anybody has similr issues with z-lib downloads? For my old library to send over I used Calibre and it worked well. For new stuff I've sent pdfs and epubs over and they're fine. On my tablet or phone if I use Share and then select kindle app, it's actually offered to conver PDFs un an epub for me and that's worked well too.
Now that Kindle will not allow transfer of mobi or azw3 via the app or email service, the only option is to send an epub through Amazon, or to sideload directly to the Kindle via Calibre. In my testing, sending an epub results in bad formatting. However the book appears as a doc on all devices.
Additionally, Send to Kindle emails now supports EPUB (.epub). Later this year, we’ll also be adding EPUB support to the free Kindle app for iOS and Android devices and the Send to Kindle desktop app for PC and Mac.
I switched from using mobi to azw3 recently, because the kindle can’t show mobi covers ob the lock screen. The text is also much nicer formatted in azw3, what makes reading more pleasant. Unfortunately, you can’t send the azw3s per Mail, you have to connect your Kindle with a cable.

Most of my books are already in MOBI format since I already read books on my iPad via the Kindle App. So despite the notice I still tried emailing some books (all MOBI formats) via the Send to Kindle feature and it was successful even with all of their matching covers. I know the notice said that it was starting August 2022.
Make sure you download your content from Amazon and the de-drm it and run an import into Calibre. From there you can convert to epub or kepub, manipulate it (update Metadata, add Shelves) and then load via USB into the Kobo. Use #my_shelves as a custom column and then Kobo will recognize that as Collections.
In this case it's a cookbook that is 398MB. Send To Kindle won't work as the maximum file size is 200MB. Email won't work as the maximum file size is 50MB. When I try USB transfer to the Documents folder on my Paperwhite, the cookbook doesn't show up - even after a reset of the Kindle. I think this is somethoing to do with it being an epub file ...
