I just updated my Macbook Pro to Sonoma. When I download a pdf from any website using Brave browser, the file gets stuck somewhere. The download occurs, and the file can be opened in preview using spotlight or from the Brave download manager. BUT, the file does not show up on the desktop, does...
The EU DMA mandate. If anything, Safari being preinstalled is unfair competition in the browser segment. This equalizes the competition on the market, it's not an advertising and definitely not free advertising by Apple. Apple is Microsoft 2000s all over again with their Internet Explorer back in the days.
Web App test (Speedometer) — Brave is 22.8% slower than Safari. General test (JetStream2) — Safari is 29.4% slower than Brave. Conclusion Safari is 30-35% slower than Brave. In real-world usage like scrolling sites with lazy-loading DOM and images like different classifieds sites, social network sites etc. Safari shows awful speed.

Safari will have problem with tls, you can't open sites like Wikipedia (I'll try resolve this problem on Snow Leopard) More rare browsers: Vivaldi, Roccat, Sleipnir, SeaMonkey, Avira Scout...Some chromium forks (Citrio, Epic) And special: Arcticfox, Newmoon, Basilisk, Firefox Legacy (for Lion).
Brave user here as well. Love the built-in ad-blocker so I don't have to install an extra extension. I like Firefox as well and was a user, but the Android version doesn't play well on tablets, while Brave behaves better. So I switched to Brave as my primary browser. Was using Microsoft Edge, but not really liking some of its privacy settings.
Thank you very much for your time, KaliYoni. I have currently used Brave for online payment and Chrome for general use (it seems that Chrome is the only browser to allow us non native English speakers the whole web page translation system which I need lately), but I'm still interested in FireFox.
