    Lowering bill with Vivint I’m out of contract with Vivint & the doorbell I had was a pos so I replaced it and realized I was paying for monitoring for my cameras via the app & wasn’t using their cams anymore.. my bill is $72 a month. So I said let me call and get monitoring only for a lower price. HA!

    On January 14, I made a payment of $1179.72 to Citizens to pay off the equipment and $926.46 to Vivint to buy out the remaining contract length. I also sent the notice of cancellation that day. I received email confirmation of the receipt for the notice on January 17th.

    For months I was calling Fortiva to figure out what happened with line of credit, then I’d call VIVINT to figure out how to fix my account. Eventually my service was disconnected after I was told I was approved for a payment plan to pay for equipment yet no one at VIVINT could at find the record of that approval.

    Vivint Don’t Honor Their 6 Month No Payment Policy I request to cancel my policy back in March. They says they couldn’t do that because I have a loan on their equipment. So, the representative offers the 6 month no payment policy that they can do on my payment. In order to start it, I had to pay the amount due so I did.

    Vivint is telling me I can’t cancel until my equipment is paid off, and there’s 2 years of payments left on it… I thought this was BS, but they referred me to a tiny bit of text in my contract that confirms this.

    The thing about reviews, generally only upset customers write reviews. If you look at ADTs they have some of the worst reviews as well. Once the equipment is paid, you own it. I use my system and do not pay for the Vivint service. I just don't have access to monitoring or the app and I haven't had issues with my cameras.
