In order to remove all of the lingering files in McAfee you will need to go to there site and download the " McAfee Consumers Product Removal Tool " the (MCPR). My computer is already using Windows Defender, bur McAfee just. Won’t. Close. I can’t uninstall it through the app because the only thing I can open with it is McAfee Livesafe, which does nothing but tell me my subscription is expired and offer to renew it. I can’t uninstall it from settings or control panel.
