@Euphonique You're a f@#king saint, that fog is a killer, it's like it was added to the game and someone forgot to input the settings, left set on max and 24hrs a day, it's a nice mechanic to add to the immersion, but the island and forest aren't very large, it shouldn't be as present as it is, the fog/haze makes the island feel stagnant.
To boil water at a fire, you'll need a pot that you can find around some survivor tents, fill that pot with polluted water from a pond, then boil that water at a fire (by equipping the pot and pressind C, just like cooking food). You can also craft a water skin by combining 2 deer skin. Water on the go.
