Honestly, in the grand scheme of things, funding 20 more football scholarships isn't a big deal. If you figure half of the extra come from out of state and half from in-state, that's an average of about $35,000 per add'l scholarship, or $700k total.
Started selling 10 days ago moving into cds , money market, bonds and mutual fund. Wish I had 2 more weeks. My portfolio is still agressive, but Ill wait. Likely a recession recently started. Normal cycle except the massive socialis money Trump and Biden gave us has to be worked in sometime. Not expect huge losses overall for several months.
All that said, the state should be doing a whole lot more to fund education at state schools to bring down the costs. It should not cost $30k per year (total cost of attendance) to attend a state school.
