I now receive errors in Outlook 2021 (that is mapped to my Yahoo account). Under outlook on my Windows 10 PC I no longer can get or send emails. I have no problems with yahoo mail wien I am in yahoo mail via the web directly. I noticed there was a MS Office 2021 plus (16/0/16626/20170) program update done the same date that the issue occured.

Created on June 14, 2016. Yahoo emails not downloading in Windows 10 Mail app. I haven't been able to download the content of the emails from my yahoo account since I upgraded to Windows 10. I can see the emails there but each email does not display any content and has a message "Download messages and pictures".

Replied on January 16, 2023. Report abuse. My bad. Ok, this could be related to the widely reported bug between yahoo and the mail app. The bug is that when a yahoo email that is linked to the mail app receives an email, the email would get displayed as HTML, like a website code.
So, bottom line is: Logout from all devices where you may be logged on to Yahoo mail. Use an alternate web browser to reach the same destination. That destination being https://www.mail.yahoo.com. If the problem persists across browsers, check your settings for Yahoo Mail. You may have changed the Preferences.
