There is, it’s called runecrafting. RC astrals is dope af. 70-77 was half that half ZMI, and even after 82 for doubles I did a couple trips here and there before 95 slayer for hydra. Kinda wish bosses didn’t shit out resources making skilling pointless but it’s too far gone for that now. Runecrafting.

I just buy all of mine. They’re quite cheap, so most players elect to buy. Back before ZMI, Astrals were a decent alternative for runecrafting because they’re more exp/hr than abyss and less clicky than lavas. They’re super cheap so you can buy them on lunar isle.
Baba Yaga already sells astral runes, this won't break or change anything its simply a QoL update and even the OSRS devs are trying to make changes that make you want to play with other players instead of fighting over resources. If anything, non-iron players should be glad that GP can be used in shops.

For the longest time astral runes were around 60g but over the past 2 weeks they have gone up to 170. I assume a bunch of bots got banned or something but I just bought 4000 runes in 10 minutes from baba yaga ...

step 1: Fill inventory with a few stews, a restore, biggest rune pouch, or multiple pouches. step 2: Go to altar, spice and stew until +5 boost. If no +5 boost is acquired, rebank try again, if negative stats, drink restore. step 3: drop all boosting items. remove essence from pouch(s).

Astral I just bought once unlocked shop then you can easily rc them. Just rush song of the elves tbh. There's a stock of 250 comics in Priff, so once you unlock that you're set. Once you can rc double astrals it's like 7k/hr so after a few hours you'll have all you'll ever need.
