I applied for Housing and I already had the NYCHA interview, my application has been approved and sent to the housing project I selected. I chose Bushwick Houses for a two bedroom anticipated vacancy. I called the development to find out how long is the wait, but they tell me a computer does the selection.
so I finally received my keys today. I have been on the waiting list for ingersoll since 12.2010. I randomly checked the nycha portal. On 1/8/15 it stated I was selected and to contact my development. That Monday I went to the development and was told to return Thursday to view an apt yes that fast.

The first app that I submitted date says 4/8/12 I read somewhere that it is good to re-summit end a new application a month before the app expires. I re-summited my app online on 3/5/2013 I received the confirmation letter but it has a different CASE number from the first app.

So my NYCHA story goes like this. I applied for NYCHA maybe 07 or 08 maybe earlier don't really remember. I had completely forgot I applied until 2011 when I called customer service to get new application since I never received acknowledgement of first application.
