nope Ford and Chevy (and others) used 8 on 6.5" back in the days, and I think Chevy still does. BUT, I know Ford changed some time in the 90s to 8 lug with a metric diameter bolt circle, not compatible.

Oh, the wheels will fit over the studs, sort of. But if you look really close before you put the lug nuts on, they do NOT line up well. You can even run the lug nuts on and tighten them down. Will pull all the studs crooked. If you are lucky, none will break. Yet. A buddy's kid, been there, done that.
in my opinion your best bet would be to use larger rims. when swapping out axles to 60's you add a lot of weight. and you need those larger brakes to stop that weight. I think the idea of grinding on the calipers to make the smaller tires fit is a BAD idea. just use the set of tires and rims to trade for the larger rim size.

The '99 & up Ford "SuperDuty" trucks have an 8 on 170mm pattern as opposed to the old 8 on 6.5" pattern used previously (and still used by GM & Dodge). Late GM trucks also require "hub centric" wheels, though the lug pattern is the same as before.
Been researching tractor tire and rims. Found a set of 24" if like to get for my k5, but trying to figure out the rim situation. Are there any 8 lug tractor rims out there that bolt right on Chevy or do I need to custom build these or what's the cheapest option. This is my trailer. I built it in 2002. It's 18' long, weighs 3160#, and was built using 2 5200# mobile home axles. Notice the "demountable rims". They are 14.5" diameter, making the tires kind of odd. I've been told a lot of different things about these axles, usually by people who have no experience with them.
The older trucks have an adapter bolted to the 8 on 6.5" hubs to run the bigger wheel lug center. UHauls are all 19.5, and the tire width doesn't seem too bad--especially when you're dual. Rims and 17x9, 8 lug (8 on 6.5). Fits chevy and dodge. Also fits older ford. Tires are in great shape with a lot of tread left. I was running these on a project truck and would still be if I didnt go to a larger tire. Asking $600 obo *I also have a set of 5, 6 lug wheels (also 17s).
