The thing about a site like lyricstraining, while it isn't perfect- it is at least "out of the box" ready to go. Some people like and need that. It does take a little bit of time and trouble to make one's own cloze deletion versions of song lyrics, but it can be done even for a language like Ladino:

With lyrics, I'm trying to do new tracks mostly, returning to some favourites as a check, and hoping that a higher personal score will cheer me up when I'm tempted to stop!
(BTW, lyricstraining.com has added Catalan, Turkish and Japanese romaji) There will also be a 6 week challenge in August and a two-week Tadoku at the end of the summer (starting from August 15).

I don't know of any resources, but in my experience, just connecting letters intuitively as in English results in perfectly legible handwriting. The only catch is to make sure you add the little "hooks" at the start of letters like Л, М, Я, etc.
Also, count me in whenever we're talking about lyricstraining, it is a great tool. So, what is my biggest complaint, when it comes to learning through songs: I think they are a bit overrated, when it comes to beginners. Or perhaps, they are part of the very popular trend these days, to skip all the "boring" parts of learning.
