But, if you're looking at your list of purchases, when you look at the detail screen for each one (whether in iTunes or in email), the payment method will be shown. It will either be a payment card in your account, or the words "Store Credit".
On your iPhone you can check /search easily. Go to -> Settings -> tap your profile -> tap Media and purchases -> View account -> log in. Scroll to and tap -> Purchase history -> tap the last 90 days. You will then see a list of 'years' and you can select a year to view. BimHelper Author.

If you don't see the item in your purchase history, you might have purchased the item with a different Apple ID.
