Radio Times is still the best if you want radio listings too - only Total TV Guide comes anywhere near in terms of radio listings and features. I guess RT's future depends whether enough R3 / R4 listeners are willing to pay a premium price for detailed, accessible listings. RT's 15-day Olympics guide was excellent but was £5+ in the shops.

Not terribly exciting but TV Times now has eight pages of listings per day, not six. Also a separate section for radio at the back of the mag. Price up to £2.90. Unfortunately, with the poor postal service we get round our way, that just cannot be guaranteed.
And things like the Mail Weekend magazine and The Guardian Guide are the Radio Times' competition, not TV Choice. They're aimed at totally different audiences. If we assume that prices double every 10 years, and ( from memory) buying Radio Times and TV Times cost 10p in 1970, by 2020 the price would be £3.20, so a current price of £2.50 - £2 ...
A week or two early to be starting the radio times and Christmas TV countdown for another Christmas. Same every year the thread is a week or two to early in being started. But it's a countdown to the Christmas Radio Times being released, not Christmas itself. So it makes sense to start the 2023 countdown today.

Radio Times sales fell 12% in 2023. For several years the only copy of the Radio Times I've bought has been the Christmas Double Issue and last Christmas I didn't even buy that!! Newspaper and Magazine sales are generally in decline.
