We’re excited to announce the paginated report visual for Power BI reports will be generally available in the December release of Power BI Desktop. For the first time, this native Power BI visual allows you to render any paginated report you’ve uploaded to the service in a Power BI report.
With this update of Power BI Report Builder, the 64-bit version is now available from the Microsoft Download Center, in addition to the Microsoft Store, for enhanced memory limits and other performance gains.
Download a connected workbook in the Power BI service. In the Power BI service, open any report or dataset you have access to and use the “Analyze in Excel” option to download an Excel workbook connected to the underlying dataset. If you download the installer from Microsoft.com you’ll have to manually download each update. If you get Power BI Desktop through the Store – which we recommend – you’ll be delivered these updates automatically. That is all for this month!
As called out in last month’s blog, starting this month, the Power BI Desktop .exe installer will now attempt to download Microsoft Edge WebView2 as part of the installation process. WebView2 is not a requirement at the moment, so if you’re installing offline, you should not notice any changes.
