  2. Is 99% positive feedback good for a major ebay seller?

    forums.collectors.com/discussion/653838/is-99-positive-feedback-good-for-a...

It might be that a typical 99% FB rating on ebay might actually be closer to 60-90% if both sides were fully honest in their ratings. If you think about it, a 90% rating (if conducted honestly) is quite amazing. That would mean that 9 out of 10 transactions by that seller are good or fair deals.

Chinese-Indian demand over the past 9 years has totaled 22,000 tonnes of gold. That's where most of the gold from the west has been flowing. No one has the heart to tell them it's just a barbarous relic. On average, 0.04% of Comex gold contracts stand for delivery. On the Shanghai Gold Exchange 45% of contracts settle for delivery (155 tonnes ...

  5. The Little Known Facts about FDR's 1934 Silver Confiscation

    forums.collectors.com/discussion/963076/the-little-known-facts-about-fdrs-1934...

The supposed primary "purpose" was to mint silver dollars but those stopped in 1935. The gold "confiscation" is a misuse of that term. No gold was really confiscated as there are only a couple of court cases where someone was actually forced to turn in their gold. I'd say 99.9% of the gold turned in was voluntary.

OK, that works out to be about 10 MILL ounces of gold. A reasonable number imo. The total of all U.S. gold produced from 1795 through 1933 was calculated at $4,526,218,477.50, with the total exported as $3,620,974,782, leaving $905,243,695.50 which actually entered domestic circulation.

August 24, 2009 3:02AM. The US gold futures market opens at 8:20 am followed by the main markets at 9:30 am. The sell downs typically show by noon but seem to be more prevalent from 9 am to 11 am. Charts show that over a number of years the morning US pog is (statistically) significantly lower than the afternoon's price.

  9. Amazing toning on a state quarter.... — Collectors Universe

    forums.collectors.com/discussion/979647/amazing-toning-on-a-state-quarter

I did that test (wrapped in yellow tissue paper) on a blazing near gem MS64 rattler 1890 seated quarter back in 1988. And it toned some shocking purples, blues, golds in just a year. And then was rejected by NGC as AT. A couple years ago I spotted the same coin in a Top Tier MS65 holder.

They are selling a roll of dollars (54 coins) for $88 plus $11 shipping. Their scam is marketing these as "gold" coins in a "mammoth plastic roll" with a "never circulated" sticker. The roll is placed in a gold box stamped like a bar - 425 grams, US Legal Tender, Ballistic Roll, never circulated. The clear plastic roll allows one to see the ...

  11. PCI Grading Standards — Collectors Universe

    forums.collectors.com/discussion/961885/pci-grading-standards

PCI changed ownership several times. The earliest PCI with 10 digit serial numbers were fairly conservatively graded. Later green label PCI slabs can be hit or miss. Treat the later non-green PCI slabbed coins as being raw and you'll be okay. Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
