After the most recent ios update to 17.4.1 my weather channel app on my 9th gen iPad Air no longer displays in portrait mode, or rotate, as it did before the update. My phone which is also at ios 17.4.1 still displays in portrait mode and will rotate to landscape mode.
Just a recent development. I found out you could find the app on the new computer by going into the Microsoft Store, click the top right three-dot menu button, then click My Library. See if The Weather Channel pops up, I just found it on my end. Let me know the results, good luck.

Weather channel in landscape is a stupid idea! Many might argue that having an App that can only be used with the iPad is Portrait orientation is a similarly very bad idea - as anyone that is using their iPad with a folio or similar Keyboard, that can only be used in Landscape orientation (this being increasingly common with iPad), are ...
Hope this info helps. Other “useful” info. When & how problem occurs. 1. Tap to open mobile app. 2. App attempts to open, shows “normal” 1st screen for about a second & immediately closes window. 3. However, after closing another app - TWC App shows a “ghost” type view of app.
That will bring up the list of weather locations. 5. Hold your finger on the location you want to appear on your phone and move it to the top of the list. My location is Mountain Park, GA. 6. Then go back to your home screen and swipe to see if your change was made.
