I still receive a Retiree Discount on my Regular Store Credit Card on my Macy's American Express Card so I was very upset thinking they are taking the Discount away. Re: Macy's credit - Looking for help! $2.00 interest charge after paid in full! Back when I very first got my Macy's card, i put about $300 on the card then paid it off as soon as I got the bill. The following month, I got a bill $3. I called in and they gave me a "one time" waive of the $3 interest they charged me even though I had PIF.
Re: Macy's Credit Card. After reading this thread no more than 2 minutes ago I submitted for a Macy's CLI. Requested an increase from $9900 to $24,900. I didn't get the $24,900 but they counter offered with 15,900 so I was more than happy to accept a 6k increase. This is for the store card and not the AMEX card.

I grew two Macy's cards to $25K each and one Bloomingdales to $24K (#2 Bloomingdales is @ $7500) They all started off in the $300.00-$2500 range. when you ask for CLI's, always ask at least $8000.00 ... they will counter offer you what they are willing to give.

Macy's dropped my credit limit! Well, I guess I will not be using my Macy's card for awhile. I had a $1200 limit and went to look at my account statement and there's a notice in my messages saying my account limit was dropped to $100. The reason they gave for the decrease was too many inquiries.
