    When you select text and apply a linked style, it does not apply the paragraph-level formatting to the text, only the character-level formatting. The Navigation pane (and the Table of Contents) look at the paragraph-level formatting, not the appearance, of the text. This forum is a user-to-user support forum. I am a fellow user.
